FAQs
Here are some questions I hear frequently. Of course, if you don’t see your question here, feel free to book an intro discovery to see how I can help.
Getting Started with Notion
Absolutely! Many clients come to me feeling overwhelmed by Notion's flexibility.
I help you create a clean, organized workspace tailored to your specific needs – whether that's project management, client tracking, team collaboration, or anything you have in mind.
We start with understanding your current workflow and then build a system that feels intuitive to you.
Yes!
I regularly help clients transition from tools like Asana, Trello, Google Sheets, Google Docs, HubSpot, and ClickUp. The key is mapping your existing processes to Notion's structure while improving efficiency. Though old data may or may NOT be live in the new space, we'll ensure assets don’t get left behind in the transition and your team can adopt a new system smoothly.
This is one of the most common questions!
I help clients set up related databases that connect seamlessly - like linking your Projects with Client Accounts, Tasks, and teams
The magic happens when these databases "talk to each other" through relations, rollups, and formulas, giving you powerful insights without duplicate data entry.
Workspace Organization
This is incredibly common! I specialize in Notion workspace audits where I review, declutter, and optimize your existing setup.
Often, clients have tried one or even multiple templates or approaches that didn't quite fit, leaving them with a confusing workspace and pages they get lost in.
I help streamline everything into a coherent, simple, and flexible system that works for you and your team.
Templates really shine when you use them for recurring processes (like client onboarding, project kickoffs, or meeting notes) AND add automation to reduce manual work throughout the scope of a project.
This might include automatic task creation, additional property updates, or integration with over 8,000 other tools you use through third-party automation called Zapier.
In addition to a structure that defines your team, most pages I design take on a very simple approach that leads with items that are Urgent > Active > Reference > and Archive.
Unlike traditional file systems, Notion's flexible structure can be confusing at first. I help you understand when would it be better to use pages vs. databases, how to create effective navigation, and how to organize information so it's both accessible to you and your team and scalable as your business grows.
Industry-Specific Questions
I've worked with diverse industries including creative agencies, video production, architecture firms, real estate, food distribution, event planning, financial advisory, and more.
Notion's flexibility allows it to adapt to almost any business model – from tracking regulatory compliance to managing creative portfolios.
In my experience, there seems to be no limit to what we can imagine in a Notion build: which is to me, the exciting part of discovering new ways to use Notion to help my clients.
If there isn't an existing feature in Notion, then as a Notion Ambassador and Notion Solutions Partner, I'm able to raise any feature requests and bugs directly with the Notion team and will be able to let you know when it is available.
Some features that were added recently as a result of our programs include page-based database permissions, offline mode, and many more.
I help set up proper permissions, create client-specific workspaces, and establish protocols for handling sensitive information.
This includes setting up client portals where they can access their information without seeing other clients' data.

Training & Support
Yes! I offer team training sessions to ensure everyone can use your new Notion system effectively.
This includes both the initial training through your new Notion workspace, 1:1 support to help individuals transition into using Notion for their role, and ongoing support as your needs and experience evolve.
I provide ongoing coaching and support.
Many clients start with a foundational system and then we expand it as we discover new needs and the team gets more comfortable and experienced.
I'm here to help you adapt and optimize your workspace to match your personal experience level with Notion as you discover and expand your capabilities with your work.
Absolutely! I help integrate Notion with your existing tech stack - whether that's Google Workspace, Slack, QuickBooks, or specialized industry tools.
I work primarily with Zapier to link your tools with Notion, so if it is listed in the Zapier directory of apps, it can work with Notion. The goal is to have a seamless full creative ecosystem that that reduces duplicate work.
Investment & Process
We typically start with an Intro Discovery Call to understand your needs, followed by a proposal outlining the scope.
Implementation can range from a series of coaching sessions to 12-month comprehensive system transformations, depending on your requirements.
This varies widely based on complexity.
Simple setup solutions might take a few hours of coaching, while comprehensive business systems can take several months.
I do my best to provide a good range of timelines during our initial consultation and once we have even more context, I can provide firm deadlines within our discovery phase.
I only recommend Notion when I believe it's the right fit.
During our intro discovery process, I'll honestly assess whether Notion meets your needs or if another solution may be better.
The beauty of being an independent consultant means that my goal is for you and your team to complete your work with success, not to simply sell you Notion services.
General Career
I am not an employee at Notion, but I do partner with their teams through the Notion Solutions Partner Program and the Notion’s Ambassadors program.
I happily operate Sky Blue Jenny as an independent consulting and creative business.
